The School began practice at the Royal Armouries Museum in 2007
and exists for the purpose of teaching, learning, practising and
promoting the traditional fighting arts.
It is the belief of the school that through the deep understanding
of human conflict, we can help work towards a safer and a more
peaceful world. As such, it is through the combined knowledge of
academics, curators and athletes that new insights into our
shared martial history and practice are emerging.
As part of our Big Society commitment, the School now works
with local groups and organisations to help encourage learning,
self-discipline, physical activity and citizenship among young people.
We are committed to supporting equality, participation and inclusion
for all sections of society.
